Aravind Swami is eagerly awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which is slated for release on September 27. The actor has begun work on his next film to be directed by Rajapandi who has given hit films like Ennamo Nadakkudhu and Achchamindri. The movie went on floors with a formal pooja launch event. 

The film touted to be a thriller will be shot in Chennai. A major set is being erected in AVM studios where predominant portions of the film will be shot. Regina Cassandra plays the leading lady and is teaming up with Aravind Swami for the first time. Saranya Ponvannan and AnandRaj play pivotal roles. The film has music by Nivas Prasanna and cinematography by Arvind Krishna.

Aravind Swamy is also awaiting the release of Karthik Naren's Naragasooran and long delayed crime comedy Sathuranga Vettai 2.
