Mani Ratnam files Police Complaint post a threatening call!

 

Director Mani Ratnam who is currently enjoying the success of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam had to resort to seeking help from the police recently, after the director apparently received a threatening call from an unknown person.

This said mysterious caller is  suspected to be a member of a caste fringe outfit, who is said to have taken issue with certain dialogues from Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which denote women journalists and their nature of their work.

This caller made a hoax bomb threat call to Mani Ratnam's office at Mylapore on Monday night and a bomb squad had to be called in before they declared this threat a hoax. Post this threat, Mani Ratnam has filed a complaint with the Abiramapuram Police Station and the matter is currently under investigation.
