Vetrimaaran's upcoming production Sanga Thalaivan had its trailer and audio launch recently and the National award winning director opened up about how the film, which has Samuthirakani as the lead and Manimaran of Udhayam NH14 fame as director, came into place.
"This film is a coalition of friends. Myself and manimaran are friends from school days...We approached Samuthirakani after realizing that he would be apt for this story." Sanga Thalaivan is adapted from a popular Tamil novel, Thariyudan and it revolves around weavers and the issues in the textile industry in the westerns districts of Tamil Nadu, mainly Coimbatore and Erode.
Vetrimaaran further added, "Cinematography by Sreenivaasan has come out very well in the film..The film is based on a novel by Bharathinathan.. Thanks to him too.." Also starring VJ Ramya in the lead, Sanga Thalaivan is gearing up for a release this year.
