The first look poster of Lucky Man, actor Yogi Babu's next as a lead was released this Monday, and the film is written and directed by RJ-turned-actor Balaji Venugopal. Touted to be a family comedy, Lucky Man will see Yogi Babu in the role of a real-estate agent, and the first look poster with an learner's sign on his character's shirt has turned a lot of heads.
Lucky Man borrows its title from a famous 1995 fantasy comedy by Prathap Pothen that starred Karthik, Goundamani, and Senthil. However Balaji Venugopal, the Hello FM jockey who has appeared in films like Naaigal Jaakirathai, Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, and Kanaa clarifies,
"Aside from the title, our film doesn't borrow any themes or plot points from that (1995 Lucky Man). My story is about a small-time broker and I have tried to present the events in his life with realism."
Produced by Think Studios, Lucky Man (2023) is currently in the post-production stage. The movie also stars Veera, Kadaisi Vivasayi-fame Rachel Rebecca, Abdool Lee, RS Shivaji, Amit Bhargav, Sathvick among others and has Sean Roldan for music, Sandeep K Vijay for cinematography.
