The Ponniyin Selvan saga has concluded with the release of the second part of the movie, and while the Mani Ratnam directed film is doing phenomenally well at the box-office, all eyes are now at what the Ponniyin Selvan stars will be doing next. Actor Jayam Ravi who plays the titular role in both Ponniyin Selvan: I and Ponniyin Selvan: II, is currently part of four upcoming projects in Tamil.

1. Iraivan: A psychological horror thriller directed by I. Ahmed, Iraivan stars Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in the lead. The movie is said to be clashing with the release of Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran on July 14, 2023. An official announcement on the same is however awaited. The OTT rights of Iraivan are with Netflix, and the movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music. 

2. Siren: A crime thriller directed by debutant Anthony Bhagyaraj, Siren stars Jayam Ravi as a prisoner, Keerthy Suresh as a police officer and Anupama Parameswaran as Jayam Ravi's love interest. Shooting of the film which also stars Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu is currently underway. The movie has GV Prakash for music. 

3. JR 30 (tentative title): Directed by M. Rajesh, this 30th film of Jayam Ravi has Harris Jayaraj for music. The movie has been shooting since August last year, and also stars Priyanka Mohan, VTV Ganesh, Natty Nataraj among others. 

4. JR 32 (Unannounced): Touted to be titled Genie, this is Jayam Ravi's costliest solo film yet. The film's producer Ishari K Ganesh has said at his company's IPO meeting that Genie will be produced at a massive budget of Rs. 100 Cr. and will have AR Rahman for music. Krithi Shetty is said to be playing female lead, and director Mysskin's former associate Bhuvanesh Arjunan is said to be making his debut as director.
