Pathu Thala starring Silambarasan TR in the lead released in theaters on March 30, 2023 and made its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Media on April 27, 2023. Now the film is all set to make its world television premiere (WTP) on Zee Tamizh TV channel. Pathu Thala will air for the first time on TV on July 23, 2023 i.e. Sunday at 1 PM.

An official remake of the 2017 Kannada hit Mufti, Pathu Thala is by Obeli N Krishna and has AR Rahman for music. The neo noir action thriller stars Silambarasan TR as a dreaded crime boss named AGR, Gautham Karthik as an undercover cop and Priya Bhavani Shankar as Gautham Karthik's ex-girlfriend. Actress Sayyesha makes a special dance appearance in the song Raawadi.
