India, once the epitome of secularism may seem like its loosing face owing to the religion-fanatic regimes but the country's citizens have time and again proven how unity prevails despite the diversity. Bollywood aka Hindi film actor Shah Rukh Khan, a non-practicing Muslim and one of the country's biggest stars currently awaits the release of his upcoming film Jawan on September 7, 2023.
Shah Rukh who is also the producer of the movie, has mostly worked with talents from the Tamil cine industry in this film, and as a result has been spotted promoting Jawan's release heavily in South India. Jawan's leading lady Nayanthara, a born Catholic Christian and a converted Hindu has a habit of offering prayers at the famous Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam in Andhra Pradesh.
Ahead of Jawan's release, not just Nayanthara and her filmmaker husband Vignesh Shivan, but Shah Rukh Khan with daughter Suhana Khan and executives behind the scenes of the movie were spotted at the famous Hindu temple, offering prayers in traditional attire.
Written and directed by Atlee, Jawan is an action thriller with Shah Rukh Khan playing dual roles of a cop father and a delinquent son. The movie also stars Vijay Sethuptahi, Sanya Malhotra, Priya Mani among others and will see Deepika Padukone in a special appearance and Tamil actor Vijay in a cameo. Jawan comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 46 minutes and has Anirudh for music.
