Captain Miller starring Dhanush in the lead is an upcoming period action drama produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. The movie which shares its title with the first suicide bomber of the Tamil militant group - Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam aka the LTTE, is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on December 15, 2023.

The makers recently announced that Captain Miller teaser which released earlier this year, will be screened in all theaters showcasing Indian movies overseas. Lyca Productions is distributing the film in overseas regions. 

Dhanush plays the titular character who also goes by Analeesan, the leader of a rebel group in Captain Miller. A recently revealed plot of the movie goes, 'A renegade Miller (Dhanush) and his unconventional outlaws execute daring loots and heists. Miller must decide whether to continue running or confront the challenges head-on.'

Captain Miller marks Dhanush's first collaboration with director Arun Matheswaran. The movie is releasing as a single part as opposed to initial suggestion that it will be coming out in two parts. The ensemble cast of the Tamil film includes names like Priyanka Arul Mohan, Kannada actor Shivarajkumar, Nassar, Sundeep Kishan, Aditi Balan, Elango Kumaravel, John Kokken, among others. Captain Miller has GV Prakash for music.
