Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead is an upcoming Hindi movie written and directed by Telugu film industry's Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol among others is all set to release in theaters on December 1, 2023. During a recent leg of Animal promotions in Hyderabad, Telengana, actor Ranbir Kapoor was caught in an awkward situation as politician Chamakura Malla Reddy attending the event 'informed Kapoor' of how Telugu people 'will rule over Bollywood, Hollywood' in the next 5 years.

Ranbir Kapoor is caught on camera clapping at this but with a very awkward smile on on his face. Minister Malla Reddy then continues that Ranbir Kapoor would be 'forced to shift to Hyderabad because Mumbai has become old.' At this statement, stars Ranbir Kapoor and Mahesh Babu are shown awkwardly smiling and Kapoor has one of his hands on the side of his forehead. 

"Look at how our heroine (Rashmika Mandanna) is smart. She was a blast in Pushpa (The Rise)", said Malla Reddy while adding that Hyderabad will become the No: 1 city of India and all Telugu people are smart. Naturally this irked Kapoor's Bollywood fan-base who are primarily Hindi speaking and belong to North India. Some reactions to this incident online:
