TL;DR After Leo actor Mansoor Ali Khan stated in the media that he was hoping for 'bedroom scenes' in the movie with the film's lead actress Trisha, a major outrage erupted where Trisha came out vowing to not share screen space with the 61 year old Khan again, Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj and production house 7 Screen Studio condemned Mansoor Ali Khan and distanced themselves from the actor's sentiments, and Mansoor Ali Khan retorted with further defamatory statements against Trisha instead of apologizing to her.
//TW// Mansoor Ali Khan had also made rape apologist statements during this time, name dropping actress and BJP member Khushbu in the process. Khushbu who is currently with the National Commission of Women had also condemned Mansoor Ali Khan in a strongly worded X post, as did NCW via its official account.
A police enquiry followed, post which it was suggested that Mansoor Ali Khan had apologized to Trisha and the actress too tried to move on by making a social media post. However, Mansoor Ali Khan now claims he never extended an apology to Trisha. He says that his statement that goes, "My fellow actress Trisha, please forgive me" was sent out to curb the hatred towards the actress, from his "lakhs and thousands" of supporters.
He apologised only after so many people condemned his words and case registered . His apology is out of fear over going to jail . I bet . He will do this again after some time .— Ⓜ️🅰️N🅾️ (@rajini_mano) November 24, 2023
Mansoor Ali Khan also says that his lawyer has filed a defamation case against Trisha, Telugu star actor Chiranjeevi who called out Mansoor's 'horrid comments' to 'reek of perversion', National Commission of Women, and Khushbu Sundar. However actress, politician Roja who was also name-dropped by Mansoor in his rape apologist statements is not included in Mansoor's defamation case crusade. Roja had called for 'strong legal actions' against Mansoor for she felt that 'these men will never fear anything' otherwise.
