Tamil star actor Dhanush made his debut as a teen with Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), for which his brother Selvaraghavan had written the screenplay. Selvaraghavan's debut direction Kaadhal Kondein (2003) also starred actor Dhanush in the lead. This talented brothers duo has since given memorable movies like Pudhupettai (2006), Mayakaam Enna (2011) and Naane Varuvean (2022), under Selvaraghavan's direction.

Dhanush is currently directing his second movie titled Raayan and Selvaraghavan is playing a character role in it. The first look of this character has now been unveiled by Sun Pictures with a poster, and the same can be viewed below.

Just like Pudhupettai, which the most popular movie of the Selvaraghavan-Dhanush duo, Raayan is set against the backdrop of North Chennai. The movie stars Dhanush in the lead alongside Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, SJ Suryah among others and has AR Rahman for music.
