[Updated: August 17, 2024] Nag Ashwin directed sci-fi action Kalki 2898 AD is a Hindu mythology based movie that released in theaters on June 27, 2024. The movie is now all set for a digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Kalki 2898 AD's OTT release date is August 22, 2024.

Kalki 2898 AD will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages with English subtitles. Kalki 2898 AD's Hindi version will premiere on Netflix the same Thursday.

Based on the Hindu mythological lore of Mahabharata and Kali Yuga, Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas as a reincarnation of Karna in a dystopian world. How he gets himself involved in ensuring the birth of Lord Vishnu's 10th and final avatar Kalki, who is to take human form via Sumathi (Deepika Padukone), is what forms the core story. 

Prabhas' Karna is reunited with the immortal Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan) in Kalki 2898 AD, and how they save SUM-80 aka Sumathi from the evil force Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) is what forms the rest of the story.  

Kalki 2898 AD is a production venture of Vyjayanthi Movies, and has collected a whopping Rs. 1000 Cr+ at the global box-office. The movie comes with a runtime of 181 minutes i.e. 3 hours.
