Deadpool & Wolverine is an upcoming Marvel superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, that releases in theaters worldwide on July 26, 2024. Set 6 years after the events of Deadpool 2 (2018), the movie follows how a reluctant Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), joins an even more reluctant Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). 

In a unique move towards promoting Deadpool & Wolverine, Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman made a cameo appearance in their respective characters, in the Chk Chk Boom music video (MV) of the popular K-pop group Stray Kids. 

As an ode to the song's title Chk Chk Boom, Ryan Reynolds aka Deadpool appears as the anchor of the CCB News channel. Wolverine Hugh Jackman appears as the weather reporter of CCB News in the MV. Chk Chk Boom music video released on July 19, 2024, and the same Friday, Marvel Korea unveiled an interview of Reynolds and Jackman, with two of the eight Stray Kids members - Bang Chan and Felix.

In it the Deadpool & Wolverine stars can be seen delving into how the cameos with Stray Kids happened, if Marvel approved of it, and the overall experience the Hollywood actors had alongside a much younger group of South Korean kids.

"We (Stray Kids and Ryan Reynolds) kind of met through social media...Some of my closest friends, I've met that way...We (Stray Kids and Ryan Reynolds) had a similar thing, and I'm just wondering like let's take it to the next level...One of my favourite interviews I did on Free Guy (2021) was with him (Bang Chan of Stray Kids). Chk Chk Boom was such a thrill...", stated Reynolds before reverting to his Deadpool humour. 

"Probably my favourite thing about this (Chk Chk Boom music video came) is that Marvel has no idea I did that", commented Reynolds to the shock of Stray Kids Bang Chan and Felix. The Canadian actor even took a dig at Hugh Jackman's Wolverine get up by jokingly stating, "That suit strikes a figure,"

Wolverine star Hugh Jackman for his part expressed bewilderment by asking, "But what happened to the bit with us (Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman) dancing that we thought was in (Chk Chk Boom)?". When it was revealed that that part was cut, much to the dismay of Stray Kids Bang Chan and Felix, Ryan Reynolds chimed, "Yeah they took one look at that and...
