Raayan, written, directed and headlined by actor Dhanush released in theaters on July 26, 2024, and is currently on day 15 of its theatrical run. Prime Media which released Raayan in North America, recently announced that the film's box-office collections in USA and Canada has crossed the $750K mark. 

In 13 days, Raayan had made upwards of Rs. 6. 29 Cr., and currently it is estimated that Raayan's USA and Canada box-office might reach the coveted $1M mark (for a Tamil movie) as well, in the region.

Raayan has been going steady in USA and Canada, despite heavy competition from the mega blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine, which released on the same day as Raayan. Deadpool and Wolverine, co-written, produced by and starring Ryan Reynolds in the lead, recently surpassed $900M at the worldwide box office. 

Raayan is a production venture of Sun Pictures, and also stars Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Prakash Raj, SJ Suryah, Saravanan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar among others. The crime action movie has AR Rahman for music.
