Vettaiyan: Yugendran shares AI process, Rajinikanth's voice note about Malaysia Vasudevan

Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth in the lead had its first single release titled Manasilaayo on Monday, and the song brings back legendary late playback singer Malaysia Vasudevan's voice through Artificial Intelligence. Manasilaayo marks Rajinikanth, Malaysia Vasudevan's team up after 27 years, and the latter's son Yugendran Vasudevan has now shared how the song with partial AI vocals came about.  

 

Taking to X on Monday, Yugendran Vasudevan wrote, "#manasilaayo has brought so much beauty into my life! It gave me the chance to bring my dad’s voice back in a new song, and I’m proud to have sung the part for his AI process. I’ve also had the opportunity to work closely and bond with my brother @anirudhofficial".


Sharing details of a voice-note from Rajinikanth, Yugendran continued, "The icing on the cake was receiving a voice note from Thalaivar himself on my WhatsApp! #Superstar @rajinikanth uncle thanked me and shared a few words about appa. He will always be #Thalaivar! #rajini"

Vettaiyan directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions is slated to release on October 10. The movie's first single Manasilaayo has lyrics by Vishnu Edavan, Hukum fame Super Subu., and vocals by Anirudh himself alongside Deepthi Suresh, Malaysia Vasudevan and Yugendran.
