Actor Ajith starrer Good Bad Ugly written and directed by Aadhik Ravichandran, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers is the Tamil film which has been scheduled for a Pongal 2025 release next January, ever since its onset. The movie is on track for the Pongal release in January, 2025, and the makers have been firm on not changing their release plans even for another Ajith starrer, Vidaa Muyarchi, which is a production venture of Lyca Productions. 

At this time it has been revealed that Vikram starrer Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, which also stars Dushara Vijayan in the lead, is planning to release this Pongal, 2025. Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is written and directed by SU Arunkumar, and is production venture of HR Pictures. The movie with GV Prakash for music, will be distributed in Tamil Nadu by Five Star productions.

Previously, we had also reported that the Mani Ratnam directed Thug Life which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead, and Silambarasan TR in an important role, is also aiming for a Pongal release in January, 2025. Official announcements on Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 release date, and Thug Life release date are currently awaited.
