It has been officially updated by Amaran producers Raaj Kamal Films International, that the Sivakarthikeyan starrer Major Mukund biopic, has grossed Rs. 42.3 Crores worldwide on day 1 of its box-office collections. Amaran's overseas collections on opening day was Rs. 11.1 Cr, which means that in India, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer grossed Rs. 31.2 Cr. on day 1 box-office.

In North America, i.e. USA and Canada, Amaran grossed $200K i.e. Rs. 1.68 Cr. on day 1. Prime Media, the banner that presented Amaran in USA also officially updated the film's day 1 collections via their official X handle.

Amaran was released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu, while Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainment released Amaran Hindi in North India.

Five Star K Senthil released Amaran in Karnataka, Gokulam Gopalan Sree Gokulam Movies released the film Kerala, and Sreshth Movies released in Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
