Kanguva: A Mighty Valiant Saga is an upcoming epic action starring Suriya in dual lead roles, and the movie is all set for a global release on November 14, 2024 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. Kanguva is Suriya's first theatrical release in close to 3 years, and the film is scheduled to be screened in standard, 4DX, and 3D formats. 

Kanguva's SWOT Analysis follows: 

Strengths:

• Kanguva is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, mounted on a massive budget of Rs. 350 Cr. Kanguva's 3D and 4DX release was planned keeping in mind the visual spectacle the movie provides. The immersive experience Kanguva promises is the biggest strength of the film.

• Kanguva stars actor Suriya in dual roles, but comes with a huge ensemble including Bollywood's Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and familiar faces like Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Natarajan Subramaniam, Kovai Sarala, Anandraj, Deepa Venkat, Karunas, Shaji Chen, Vaiyapuri, Bose Venkat, Bala Saravanan, among others. 

• Kanguva is written by Siva, Adhi Narayana with Madhan Karky for dialogues, and directed by Siva, who is known for giving commercial entertainers. Going by the trailers, Kanguva is 2 hours and 34 minutes of popcorn entertainment.

• Kanguva stars actor Suriya in dual roles of a shadow cop and an ancient warrior. The trailers give away that reincarnation is a big theme in the movie. The 'fantasy' aspect of Kanguva has an appeal to it, and is a good break from the realistic movies Tamil cinema has seen this year. 

• Composer Devi Sri Prasad has given a versatile album with Kanguva, and the four songs that have released as Kanguva singles so far - Fire song, Yolo, Thalaivanae, Mannipu, have takers not just in Tamil but also in Telugu states.

Weakness:

• Despite Kanguva being marketed as a 'visual spectacle', the trailer unveiled close to the release of the movie showcased shoddy VFX. Hopefully, this is made up for during conversion to 3D and other high quality formats. 

Opportunities:

• Kanguva has been well marketed in not just Tamil Nadu, but also in Telugu states, and with the Hindi audience. If clicked, this could help in setting the box-office tone for the movie. 

Threats

• Both Suriya's last solo release Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022), and director Siva's last film Annatthe (2021) did not do well. A lot rides on the initial word of mouth for Kanguva.

• Though Kanguva has no new competition in Tamil this November 14, actor Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran would still be occupying significant screens in Tamil Nadu that week, as Amaran has been doing extremely well at the box-office. This definitely poses threat to Kanguva's opening revenue.
