Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, the famous Kannada actor has been making memorable appearances in Tamil movies in the last few years. Poster Jailer (2023) with Rajinikanth, and Captain Miller (2024) with Dhanush, Shivanna as he is fondly known, is now all set to share screen space with Vijay in Thalapathy 69 (tentative title). 

Thalapathy 69 is actor Vijay's last film before his full time foray into politics, and it is being produced by a Kannada film banner called KVN productions. Shivarajkumar's addition to the Thalapathy 69 ensemble, is soon expected to be officially announced. 

Talking to a Kannada YouTube channel, Shiva Rajkumar has said, "In the next film with Vijay, they have asked me for one beautiful character. That sounds interesting but I don't know how it will shape out because of my dates.  They say that it (Thalapathy 69) is Vijay's last film. Personally, as a friend and well wisher, I feel that an artist named Vijay doesn't deserve to have a last film (so soon). I think Vijay is a fantastic actor. He is a good human being in both the sense in the film industry, or politically. The ambition that he has got is very fantastic. I respect him for that. So Thalapathy 69 is there. I hope I will freeze this (opportunity) also. I think this is a fresh news I'm saying." 

H Vinoth is directing Thalapathy 69, and it also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Narain, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, among others. Thalapathy 69 has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
