Pushpa 2: The Rule, the Sukumar directed sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021) is all set for a theatrical release on December 5, 2024. At this time, the title of the third film of this Pushpa franchise has been revealed by film's Oscar winning sound designer, Resul Pookutty. 

In a now deleted post, Resul Pookutty shared an image of him posing alongside the crew in front of a display of the third film's title. Pushpa 3: The Rampage is expected to include Telugu star actor Vijay Devarakonda in its cast. Vijay Deverakonda will be playing villain to Allu Arjun, who plays the titular character 'Pushpa Raj' in these movies. 

Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who recently confirmed dating Vijay Devarakonda in real life, plays the female lead of the Pushpa franchise. Pushpa 2: The Rule has also been rumoured to have an end-credit scene that unveils the teaser for the third installment. The Pushpa movies are production ventures of Mythri Movie Makers, and have Devi Sri Prasad for music. Pushpa 2: The Rule's background score alone is composed by Sam CS. 

An action drama also starring Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa follows the life of a coolie who rises to becomes the leader of an illegal red sanders network, because of his novel ideas to smuggle the wood. While the first movie Pushpa: The Rise followed his face-off with a ruthless police officer named Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil), the second film Pushpa: The Rule will see their conflict conclude.
