Coolie is Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming movie with writer, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Bollywood star actor Aamir Khan plays a cameo role in it. Rajini and Aamir have both reached Jaipur for the Coolie shooting, and are expected to film there for the next ten days. 

Coolie marks Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan's on screen union, 29 years since the Hindi film Aatank Hi Aatank (1995). A production venture of Sun Pictures, Coolie has Rajinikanth playing Deva, and also stars Nagarjuna as Simon, Upendra as Kaleesha, Sathyaraj as Rajasekar, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, Shruti Haasan as Preethi, among others.

Touted to be a film on gold smuggling, Coolie has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Girish Gangadharan for cinematography, Anbariv for stunts, and Philomin Raj for edits.
