Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar, Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Aarav among others is a road action thriller that released in theaters on February 6, 2025. An official adaptation of the Hollywood thriller Breakdown (1997), Vidaamuyarchi is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. 

Vidaamuyarchi was a self release by Lyca Productions in most overseas regions, and the Tamil film banner has now revealed the film's box-office gross in North America. Vidaamuyarchi's collections in USA and Canada has exceeded $800K i.e. Rs. 7,00,44,880. 

Vidaamuyarchi's USA box-office crossing the Rs. 7 Cr mark before $1M mark is due to the plummeting Indian currency rate against the US dollar, due to the Trump imposed tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China, and the dollar index surging over 1 per cent. On Monday, the Indian rupee hit an all-time low of 87.29 per US dollar.
