Aamir Khan launches PK DVD
Despite being embroiled in controversy from the beginning, Aamir Khan starrer 'PK' has still managed to become the first film to collect more than Rs 300 crore at the box office thus becoming the highest grossing Bollywood film ever.
At the DVD launch held in Mumbai yesterday, Aamir went ahead to apologise to those people who were unintentionally hurt by certain aspects of the film. But he also stated that he's not apologetic about the film and stands by it totally. Aamir said that though he favours freedom of speech, he doesn't approve of the violent means by which certain groups protested against 'PK' after its release.
During the launch of the PK DVD, director RajKumar Hirani said, “It’s the first time that I have included the deleted scenes in the DVD”.
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said they held their spirits high in-spite of many hurdles while scripting the film PK.
After its release on December 19 last year, PK ended up becoming the biggest grosser in Bollywood and Aamir said the film's success is unbelievable. PK also starred Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani.
