The film is beautifully constructed over the concepts of human emotions and societal parameters such as caste, gender, status and power, as it throws light on the murder of Chembakammal and the mystery surrounding it
Oru Kuprasidha Payyan grips the audience from the start till the end. And Madhupal's brilliant direction gets the credit along with Jeevan Job Thomas' smart screenplay that leaves the audience with no choice but to go with the flow. The makers have a keen understanding of its setting. Each argument and the counter argument are well studied and taken care off. In fact, it surely gives a kick to the fans of courtroom dramas.(more)

This One Is Indeed A Cut Above The Rest!
ru Kuprasidha Payyan stands tall among all the films that have come out in this particular genre in the recent times. The performances, the script and above all, the making style of Madhupal make the film an intriguing watch.(more)

A superb Tovino Thomas drives this solid procedural
Despite the dark subject matter, this is not really a depressing film. The predominant emotion is that of anger, at those who are in a hurry to put an innocent man in jail just because they are under a deadline. Maheshinte Prathikaram-fame Sujith Shankar appears in the role of a determined Crime Branch officer willing to go to any extent to put Ajayan behind bars.(more)

A watchable crime thriller!!!
The direction is good and Madhupal has succeeded to bring what has been written on paper, to the screen successfully. But the lack of substance in the screenplay backstabs the film. While watching a crime thriller every viewer dons the role of either an advocate or a police officer. Thus it is very important to place shreds of evidence and witnesses in a perfect way. In Oru Kuprasidha Payyan, Crime Branch's framing of Ajayan is very amateurish. They and the Prosecution present a clearly weak case. The fabricated witnesses and pieces of evidence do not stand a chance when viewed logically.(more)

Tovino is in top form!
Oru Kuprasidha Payyan could have been a taut thriller or a smart court room drama, with better writing and more competent packaging. Here the style is particularly old school. Watch it if you don't mind that.(more)
