Synopsis/Plot : Ranjith, an acclaimed editor of a leading publication leaves the job when he loses his wife and lives a secluded life in Kolkata with his daughter. After a few years, when his close friend is killed by a fanatic fan, Ranjith is forced to get back to the job. Can he find a pattern that leads him to the person responsible for the killings?

An Interesting Core But The Film Remains Passable At Best!
Most of Raththam plays out like an information dump. The characters on screen keep listing out details akin to a news report. It makes sense in a way as most of the interactions are between journalists but there has to be at least some sort of a connect with the audience. (more)

A crime drama with good ideas and bland execution
In the end, we are left with just a handful of memorable moments - a verbal face-off between the protagonist and antagonist that unfolds in the most harmless fashion on the surface while packing in a lot of tension inside, and their battle of wits as they try to be one step ahead of each other.(more)
